Aarambh in Bargarh

    Bargarh, a district on the western part of Odisha,  originally called “ Baghar Kota”, today is well known in the handweaving community as one of the “hubs of handloom weaving”. It is one of the main centers where the famous sambalpuri ikat or the ‘Bandha’ technique is practiced.

    GoCoop, through the initiative of the ‘enabling and empowering cluster-level weaver entrepreneurs’  has identified weavers from this cluster and through capacity building efforts is providing market linkages for sustainable livelihoods.
