Foundation Overview

Developing capabilities for sustainable livelihoods

The GoCoop Livelihoods Foundation was established to address structural gaps in the artisan and cooperative ecosystem by building capabilities, strengthening enterprises, and enabling long-term market participation.

While global demand for handcrafted products continues to rise, producer communities remain disconnected from fair and resilient markets. The Foundation bridges this gap through targeted capacity building and enterprise enablement.

The Foundation works at the intersection of livelihoods, enterprise resilience, and market readiness ensuring artisans and cooperatives can participate meaningfully in modern commerce.

Our Approach

Building enterprises & entrepreneurs that can sustain and scale

Our approach is grounded in practical, on-the-ground realities of artisan and cooperative enterprises. Rather than short-term interventions, we focus on building systems, skills, and confidence that last.

Digitally enabled

We develop digital literacy and enable enterprises to catalogue, price, manage, and sell their products through digital platforms.

Design-led

We train producers in design thinking and product development to align traditional skills with contemporary market demand.

Eco-conscious

We promote responsible production practices and support enterprises in adopting environmentally sustainable standards.

Market-savvy

We build awareness of consumer expectations, storytelling, pricing, quality, and presentation—ensuring products are market-ready.
