This gorgeous handwoven Assam cotton saree is designed and woven by the traditional weavers of Sualkuchi, Assam. The yellow saree body is highlighted with thread buttis in green and red colour. Beautiful thread borders are woven on the saree edges. Traditional japi motifs adorn the saree body, border and pallu. The pallu end of the saree is finished with beautiful geometrical traditional motifs and tassels. Mayuri sarees is an organization based in Guwahati who primarily work with the women weavers of Sualkuchi, a famous weaving cluster in Assam.
