Sambalpuri ikat silk saree is a traditional handwoven silk saree where the warp and weft threads were first 'tie-dyed' before weaving. It is exclusively woven at Sambalpur, Odisha by using white, maroon and black dyed yarns. Traditional bichitrapuri design is woven for the body of this saree and the border is decorated with traditional rudraksha dobby design with animal motifs woven by maroon and black dyed yarns. Pallu has traditional animal motifs woven as multiple horizontal stripes. This saree comes with attached blouse piece.
