Red plain ilkal saree handwoven with cotton and art silk from the skilled weavers at Jayashree Handloom Weavers Co-op Society, Amingad, Karnataka. The elegance of this saree lies in its border, woven with gomi-dadi patterns highlighted in red. Saree pallu with weft stripe bands of red with white highlighted by the temple patterns are popularly known as the tope teni seragu. The G.I tag of ilkal sarees is earned by the unique and ancient weaving technique of cotton warp for the body and art silk warp for the border and pallu which are externally knotted and joined.
