Bomkai silk saree also known as Sonepuri silk saree is a traditional handwoven saree produced at Sonepur district of Odisha. Mustard and green colour yarns are used to weave this saree. Green colour yarns are used to weave fish motifs on the body with traditional ikat temple designs and rudraksha motifs woven on the border using a dobby shedding device. Beautiful thread weave designs are woven on the pallu representing the bomkai patterns. This saree comes with attached blouse piece.
