This red and dark brown traditional handwoven bomkai silk saree is a uniquely woven saree which hails from the western part of Odisha, specially from Sonepur. The bomkai pattern is created by the jala technique of the fabric. This saree comes in red and maroon colour combination. Ikat and bomkai motifs are woven on the body with traditional rudraksha motifs woven on the border by dobby shedding device. Multiple colour yarns have been used to weave bomkai motifs on the pallu. This saree comes attached with a matching blouse piece.
