Description :
Green and black handwoven Nuapatna cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern for this saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree is woven with flower and wheel design stripes on the body. Dobby rudraksha design are woven on border and beautiful floral stripe designs are designed on pallu of the saree.
