Handloom Dhaniakhali Silk Saree without Blouse Piece
Colour – Cream & Red
Dhaniakhali Saree, a Geographical Indication (GI) product of Bengal, is named after its place of origin, Dhaniakhali in Hooghly district. About 900 skilled weavers and 1,000 ancillary artisans in Hooghly district produce this traditional handloom saree, a cotton delight to women of all ages. This six-yard with a colourful 1.5-2 ft border with coarser cotton count does not lose its texture and lustre throughout its life. Biswa Bangla has reintroduced the beauty of Dhaniakhali saree with fresh vibrant colours, and combed and mercerised yarns that yield a velvety texture.
Care Instruction: Dry Clean Only
Colour and Texture of the product may slightly vary than that in the photograph.
May have slight irregularity which is characteristic of any hand-woven, hand-embroidered or hand-crafted product. Connoisseurs worldwide love handmade products, more because of these small variations in a regular pattern as that adds to the unique charm of these products which is missing in machine-made products.
Missing yarn, slobs and uneven yarn contrasts are general phenomena in hand-woven products. This is a natural outcome and inherent characteristic of the hand-weaving procedure which makes the product all the more unique and beautiful.
