Description :

Bomkai silk saree is the pride of Sonepur, Odisha. Bomkai concept of sarees is a part of Odisha culture since 600 B.C. Bomkai is a magnificent innovation which has taken Odisha to a greater height. This traditional patli handwoven saree woven by using beige and dark brown colour yarns. Ikat and traditional bomkai extra yarn motifs are woven on the body with traditional ikat temple and rudraksha motifs woven at the borders by dobby shedding device. Perfect craftsmanship shown on the pallu, where different colour yarns are used to weave ikat and bomkai patterns. This saree comes attached with a matching blouse piece.
