Traditional handloom mercerised ikat cotton saree in white and maroon combination woven by the weavers of Nuapatna, Odisha. The town of Nuapatna is famous for its handwoven traditional mercerised cotton sarees and the tie-dye technique to create motifs on the saree is it’s speciality. Ikat motifs in horizontal alternate colour stripes are woven on the body of this saree. The border has traditional rudraksha motifs woven by dobby shedding device. Ikat fish, flower motifs on the pallu designed in horizontal stripes adds to the beauty of the saree.
