An exclusive traditional handwoven saree from the state of Odisha, India. This blue and pink colour handloom saree is designed and woven by the Sambalpuri ikat weaving technique. The former PM of India, Mrs. Indira Gandhi played a major role to popularize the sambalpuri saree to the world beyond Odisha. Ikat technique of weaving i.e. tie and dye method was used to weave this traditional saree, the yarns were tied and dyed before weaving. Skilled artisans have displayed the authentic culture of Odisha through the ikat weaves on this saree body and pallu. Traditional rudraksha motifs have been woven on the border by dobby shedding device. This saree comes with matching blouse piece.
