This authentic saree is a handwoven traditional Bomkai silk saree produced by the weavers of Sonepur, Odisha. Sonepur is famous for its unique bomkai patterns. Blue and marooncolour yarns used to weave this saree. White butta on the body with traditional ikat pasapalli, temple and rudraksha motifs have been woven on the border by dobby shedding device. Lots of skill needed to weave the bomkai motifs on the pallu. Saree comes attached with a marooncolour blouse piece.
