Black and beige bagru printed chanderi saree, hand block printed by the artisans of Rajasthan at Ode to Earth. The chanderi sico base of this handloom saree is traditional woven by the weavers of the Chanderi cluster in Madhya Pradesh. The bagru block printing technique of Rajasthan has yielded the unique refreshing patterns on this silk-cotton saree. Compactly placed floral motifs in white and black adore the saree body. Stripes of paisleys and floral creepers in black dye are highlighted across the beige saree pallu. A thin shimmering stripe of golden tissue thread and an adjacent thin stripe of red are woven as the saree border. Ode to earth works with producer groups at remote rural areas across north India to provide them the essential markets for their exquisite handmade products.
