Olive and maroon handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Bargarh, Odisha. The pattern on the saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of "poetry on the loom". This saree has arrow head and small flower design on the body in stripe pattern. The saree is woven with rudraksha dobby design in borders. Floral motifs are woven on the pallu as stripes.
