Ilkal thin stripes saree in light turquoise green, handwoven on a pit loom by the skilled weavers at the Chamundeshwari Co-op Society, Kamatagi-Bagalkot, Karnataka. The elegance of this saree lies in its border, woven with gayathri patterns depicting stripes of rudraksha designs on a slightly broad border. Saree pallu with weft stripe bands of maroon and white highlighted by the temple patterns is popularly known as the tope teni seragu of the ilkal origin. The G.I tag of ilkal sarees is earned by the unique and ancient weaving technique of externally knotting and joining the different material warps of the body and pallu. The extra long length of this saree was specially woven to be draped in the traditional kachche saree style. Flaunt this genuine ilkal saree with a contrast printed blouse.
