Ilkal saree in black-orange unique checks combination, handwoven on pit loom using cotton and art silk for the body with art silk pallu by the skilled weavers at the Ilkal cluster of Karnataka. The elegance of this saree lies in its traditional borders, woven with chikki-paras patterns in vibrant golden and green yarn combinations on a maroon base. The special pallu of this saree woven with the signature style weft stripe bands of red and white highlighted by the temple patterns are popularly known as the tope teni seragu. The G.I tag of ilkal sarees is earned by the unique and ancient weaving technique of externally knotting and joining the body and pallu. The extra long length of this saree was specially woven to be draped in the traditional kachche saree style. Flaunt this genuine ilkal saree with a contrast printed blouse.
