Rural Resources Development Association
Rural Resources Development Association registered as an NGO from Hospet, Karnataka in 1992. It works in community organisation, economic development and women empowerment in rural areas. Women are trained in different skills in spinning, weaving, sewing, embroidery and other activities enabling them to earn their livelihood, secure the future of their children and bring about a social transformation among them. It facilitates employment risk insurance as a safety net for the artisans. The organisation also helps in the formation and management of self-help groups, rain water harvesting awareness and provision of water tanks. They spread awareness about National Rural employment scheme and help people below the poverty line to avail the benefits. The product collection of RRDA includes hand spun and hand woven fabrics, Durries, bedcover and Dhotis.
