Woven on a handloom this Bomkai cotton saree is a traditional handwoven saree by the weavers of Sonepur, Odisha. Bomkai can be explained as an extra weft technique. Blue and maroon colour yarns used to weave this traditional saree. Ikat pasapalli, bomkai motifs woven on the body with traditional rudraksha motifs woven on the border by dobby shedding device. The pallu has been crafted beautifully and artistically to form the ikat flower and bomkai patterns. Saree comes attached with a maroon colour blouse piece.
